So I go back to school today for the Fall semester. Got three classes this semester: Drawing for Animation, Visual Anthropology and Science Fiction (literature). Hopefully they won’t be too bad. Visual Anthropology should be a lot of writing, Science Fiction should be a lot of reading, and, naturally, Drawing for Animation will be alot of drawing. The name of the class isn’t that descriptive of what it actually entails. The class is more about animation techniques & principles (timing, squash & stretch, secondary action) than about any type of drawing fundamentals. None of the courses there really have good names. Except for Stop Motion Animation. That’s pretty much what it says it is.
