Dawn of the Morningstar » Page 54

Boy after how long it took me to do the last comic, with all kinds of tweaking and completely redoing the last two panels and experimenting with new ways to render the manor in Maya, today’s comic was a breathe of fresh air.

I like the comics that come to me easily, when I’m not really thinking much about the comic and they are not too difficult to draw or take too long. And this was one of them. Plus, we’re back at the bar, now officially known as the Dragon’s Keep, one of my favorite locations from the old strips. Which is ironic when you consider how much I dislike going to bars myself. But this is no ordinary bar. You can’t tell by looking at, but it’s suppose to be like a medieval tavern. Sometime maybe I’ll get around to modeling it in Maya and then it’ll look more like one and we’ll get to see other areas of it. But for now, we’ll have to settle for the bar area itself. I was originally going to have another character show up in this week’s batch of comics, but I’m still getting his look just right and I don’t want to use him until I’m absolutely sure I’m happy with his design.
