The more I work in the traditional four-panel comic strip layout, the more I remember how much I like it. I like the expanded layout I’ve been using too, it’s good for when there’s a lot of action or movement, a long back and forth conversation. But the four panel layout is perfect for the jokes and gags and funny little dialogues. You’ll probably see more of these, especially when I’m doing something funny like the last few strips. In fact, I’m trying to throw in some more humor here because we’re reaching the end of the storyline and it get’s a little more emotional, a tad serious at the end. Kind of bittersweet. So I’m making with the funny now, get it out of my system. We’ll end on a sentimental note, and then probably pick up again with Dr. Frankenbeans. I’m not sure what the next storyline is going to be, I have several to choose from. Possibly something that allow me to do more of the four panel humor strips. Maybe. I’m really just making a lot of this up as I go, which is a lot of fun. So we’ll see where the characters lead me.
