This came out better than I expected. I’m getting more comfortable drawing Sara as I progress. And I enjoy drawing her. I’m still getting a total feel for her as a character and I’m sure she’ll evolve as the story continues. This comic was pretty much all hand drawn, no recycling. The only digital element is the house, another rendering from my Maya model. I’m so glad I took all the time to make that, it has proven very useful. You’ll be seeing more of the house in the weeks to come.
I’m getting excited now, because the story is beginning to move into an area that I think is going to be a lot of fun. At least for me. I’m glad to be doing the comic again and I’m going to try my hardest not to get behind. The next month or two is going to be very hectic. I’m moving out of my apartment and back home with the folks for financial reasons. So packing and moving will take up a good chunk of my time. And then at the end of May I go back to school for the summer semester. So it’s going to be a juggling act. But I’m going to keep Grimstone on course through shear force of will. It’s very important to me and I’m not going to stop this time. Viva La Grimstone!
