Bio

Mike Wytrykus was born in Hammond, IN, in the autumn of 1978. Mike graduated second in his class from Hammond High School in 1996. He studied computer programming for two years at Purdue University Calumet before deciding it just wasn’t for him. He also attended classes at Columbia College Chicago where he studied film and animation. He spends what free time he has working on Grimstone and other creative projects.

Mike has had a lifelong passion for comics, cartoons & movies, and he is a veritable fountain of pop-culture knowledge and useless trivia. He has been creating comic strips since he was nine years old, and he has been publishing them online since 1997. His first endeavor was a sci-fi comic strip called My Martian Friends which headlined NovaToons, the website he created for showcasing the works of aspiring cartoonists. He has been working on Grimstone in one form or another since childhood and has been creating the online comic on-and-off since 2000.
