Mr. Rogers…

I would actually like to see Christoph Waltz from Inglourious Basterds as the Red Skull, but I also don’t want him to be type-cast as a Nazi.

Moving On

Yeah, so I totally dropped the ball on the Son of Frankenbeans story. Between moving to a new apartment, my computer woes (which have been resolved), and trying to find more paying work, I just got too distracted to get anything done. But it seems lately that the universe has been conspiring to get me to resume work again on Grimstone and focus more on just making comics.

I realized today that I had a few random strip ideas I wanted to do that the timing is right for. If I don’t make them now, there’s not a lot of point in making them. So starting on Monday, I’m going to begin posting regular comic strips again, three times a week. I do plan on finishing Son of Frankenbeans at some point soon. When I do complete it, however, I am simply going to back-date the posts to October 2009 and put them into the archive where they should have originally gone. I actually have one page finished that I never posted, but I am going to wait until I have the story finished before I post anything. I’ll let everyone know when the finished story is online and you can read the whole thing in one sitting.

I am also going to be making some more tweaks to the site content. I want get some new downloads in there, take down the old ones, fix up the store page a bit. I’m working on adding Grimstone comics to some ebook download sites, partially in preparation for the Dawning of the Age of the iPad, so they’ll be links to those eventually. And I’ve got a couple other things possibly brewing, including another comic book series that I really want to get started on in addition to Grimstone. So I hope to be very busy again very soon.

I’m Still Here, El Guapo!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated anything, so I wanted to make a quick post to let anyone who stumbles in here know that I’m still alive and kicking. The move is done and I’m all settled into the new place. So that’s not an issue anymore. What is an issue still is my computer. My iMac’s display is still fairly garbled. While it is functional enough to allow me to do everyday stuff like surf the web, check email, and so forth, it is really not suitable for doing creative work on right now. It’s just too much of a pain and too distracting, particularly for drawing and coloring comics. I hope to be getting a new computer soon and plan on resuming Grimstone after every is set up. I at least want to finish the current storyline and get it over and done with. After that, I might go to a weekly schedule or something, I’m not sure. I have another comic project I want to get started on that might make it harder to work on Grimstone. So we’ll see. At the very least, I’ll have something else for everyone to read.

Any new comics probably won’t show up for a little while yet, so happy Thanksgiving everyone!
